Riflescope Nightforce NX8 - 1-8x24mm F1

Product detailed description

Key Benefits

• Durability built for hard use – Nightforce checks finished riflescopes for forward and side impact and tests recoil resistance in multiple axes at accelerations exceeding 1,250 G. The rugged construction helps preserve zero through hard handling and heavy recoil.
• Precise, repeatable tracking – Every riflescope is checked for tracking accuracy. The adjustments respond consistently, so the correction dialed matches the actual point-of-impact shift and the mechanism returns reliably to its starting value. Capped elevation and windage adjustments protect the established zero against unintended movement during carry and field use.
• Compact performance built on the NXS legacy – Military and special operations units have relied on Nightforce optics for decades. NX8 carries that experience in durability, reliability and repeatability into a substantially shorter and lighter riflescope.
• Quality glass in a precisely matched optical system – Nightforce multi-element objectives are carefully matched and centered to deliver high resolution, accurate color and a clean image with minimal distracting aberration. The difference becomes most useful in poor light and at higher magnification, when the shooter must resolve fine target detail and surrounding conditions.
• Durable broadband anti-reflective coatings – Every air-to-glass surface receives Nightforce proprietary broadband coatings. They improve light transmission and contrast, and their abrasion resistance exceeds demanding military requirements.
• FC-MOA reticle developed for real shooting – Combines a fast illuminated center for close-range shooting with MOA references for deliberate work at distance. Because it is placed in the first focal plane, its angular values remain correct at every magnification.
• An exceptionally compact LPVO without sacrificing versatility – The NX8 1–8x24 F1 provides true 1x performance and useful reach without turning the carbine into a cumbersome system. Its key strength is the balance of capability, length and weight.

Intended User and Application

NX8 - 1-8x24mm F1 is an exceptionally compact LPVO for carbines and lightweight hunting or duty rifles. The NX8 1–8x24 F1 provides true 1x performance and useful reach without turning the carbine into a cumbersome system. Its key strength is the balance of capability, length and weight. This exact configuration uses the FC-MOA reticle, .5 MOA adjustments, capped elevation and windage adjustments and daylight-visible illumination, with a Dark Earth finish.

Image Quality and Optical System

Nightforce multi-element objectives are carefully matched and centered to deliver high resolution, accurate color and a clean image with minimal distracting aberration. The difference becomes most useful in poor light and at higher magnification, when the shooter must resolve fine target detail and surrounding conditions. Every air-to-glass surface receives Nightforce proprietary broadband coatings. They improve light transmission and contrast, and their abrasion resistance exceeds demanding military requirements.

Reticle, Focal Plane and Illumination

The FC-MOA reticle combines a fast illuminated center for close-range shooting with MOA references for deliberate work at distance. Its first-focal-plane placement keeps angular values valid at every magnification. Daylight-visible illumination supports rapid aiming at low power.

Turrets and Mechanical Performance

Every riflescope is checked for tracking accuracy. The adjustments respond consistently, so the correction dialed matches the actual point-of-impact shift and the mechanism returns reliably to its starting value. Capped elevation and windage adjustments protect the established zero against unintended movement during carry and field use. The .5 MOA adjustment unit belongs to this coded version and must match both the ballistic data and the reticle units. The PTL provides fast, positive magnification changes, including with gloves.

Mounting and Configuration Selection

Use quality rings or a one-piece mount sized for the 30 mm main tube. Select mount height around the objective housing, barrel profile, rail and a natural head position behind the rifle. With Nightforce, magnification range alone is not enough: the FC-MOA reticle, .5 MOA click value, turret type and focal plane materially change how the scope is used.

Practical Note from neoPATRON

This family includes both ZeroStop and capped-adjustment versions. The complete short specification and product code—not only the 1–8x24 F1 model name—determine the exact configuration.
