Timney AR PCC 681 – Single-Stage Trigger for Pistol-Caliber Carbines
The Timney AR PCC 681 is a complete single-stage trigger mechanism designed for pistol-caliber carbines built on the AR platform. It is an ideal upgrade for shooters looking to replace a standard factory trigger with a lighter, more consistent mechanism that provides greater control over the trigger break.
Its light pull weight and direct single-stage operation are particularly beneficial for competition and dynamic shooting. The trigger helps improve firearm control without requiring individual adjustment or complex modifications.
Single-Stage Operation with a 2.5–3 lb Pull
The trigger pull ranges from 2.5 to 3 lb, approximately 1.13–1.36 kg. Its single-stage design does not divide the pull into separate first and second stages, making the break easier to identify and helping provide consistent trigger control.
Model 681 features a curved trigger shoe. Its traditional profile provides a familiar feel and natural finger contact.
Complete Drop-In Design
The trigger, hammer and related components are assembled within a compact drop-in module. The assembly installs directly into a compatible lower receiver and comes fully set from the factory.
Installation uses the firearm’s original trigger and hammer pins together with its original safety selector. According to Timney, no special anti-walk pins or additional installation components are required.
Compatibility
The Timney AR PCC 681 is designed for pistol-caliber carbines based on the AR platform. Verify compatibility with the firearm’s specific lower receiver and bolt system before ordering.
Important: This trigger is not compatible with the SIG Sauer MPX or the Aero Precision EPC9 platform.
Practical Note from neoPATRON
Product number 681 identifies the curved trigger-shoe version. The otherwise equivalent straight-shoe version has the separate product number 681-ST.
AlwaysSecond komentář: Timney Triggers triggers offere wide variety for various firearms. And that is their benefit, but also their distribution death. Their benefit from the client point of view: under Timney Triggers you can find virtually all triggers for your firearms, and that even in case your rifle is "piece of sh...t" like Tavor or something similar. And the cons: They have so wide offer that the dealer trying to offer their triggers on a market "so big" like a just born frog, ... has no chance. That is why this brand always had a problem with distribution in small countries. But if hero rises up and tries to run the distribution well, then their triggers are running reliably, and for your money you WILL RECEIVE WHAT YOU HAVE PAID, which might not be a TopTech, but in contrary to TopTech (like TriggerTech) you will get a TRIGGER THAT ALWAYS WORKS. So instead of tuned supersport (which must not be touched by your wife, otherwise you cut the hand) you have a rifle that must work "everywhere, everytime, any wheather" then you can set it up with Timney Triggers ... and you can be sure IT WILL FUNCTION 100% and with very reasonable comfort for the shooter. Me personally I like their Impact triggers for budget rifles; and for the rifles where you have the money at least for "half of banana" I like the AR-15 Competition triggers. Timney triggers I am not affraid to use even in neoPATRON Custom rifles, although my personal choice are Geissele triggers, which are again a level up. Why: We might talk about it next time...
