Riflescope EOTech Vudu 4-12x36 FFP – Black / MR5 / Riflescope Only
Code: VDU4-12FFMR5
Product detailed description
Key Benefits
- First focal plane – keeps MRAD reticle values valid throughout the magnification range.
- Only 7.1 inches long – creates an exceptionally compact medium-power setup.
- 4–12× range – provides detail for identification and precision at intermediate distances.
- Capped 0.1 MRAD turrets – reduce accidental movement and match the MR5 reticle system.
- Integrated base – works with most aftermarket mini-ACOG mounts.
Product Overview and Intended Use
The EOTECH Vudu 4-12x36 FFP is an ultra-short medium-power riflescope with an MR5 first-focal-plane reticle and integrated mounting base. It is intended for builds where precision and minimal optic length are both important.
Design and Operation
The aircraft-grade aluminum housing uses capped 0.1 MRAD turrets, a rotary ten-level illumination control and an integrated mini-ACOG-compatible interface. The construction is water, fog and shock resistant.
Technical Details
- Magnification: 4–12×.
- Objective: 36 mm.
- Focal plane: first (FFP).
- Reticle: MR5, MRAD.
- Adjustment: 0.1 MRAD per click.
- Length: 7.1 in (180.3 mm).
- Weight: 16.9 oz (479 g).
- Power: one CR2032; approximately 300 hours runtime.
- Country of origin: Japan.
Compatibility and Limitations
The 4× minimum magnification does not make this a true 1× CQB optic. The integrated base uses a mini-ACOG interface rather than a conventional tube intended for a pair of standard scope rings.
Practical Note from neoPATRON
This is a very short medium-power optic, not a red-dot replacement. If the setup needs true unmagnified capability, plan for a separate compatible 1× sight.

AlwaysSecond comment: EOTech are TopClass red-dots and riflescopes, but I personally prefer mostly the red-dots, which are together with Aimpoint the world leading products. Although there were a technical complications a long time ago, there are no longer present since 2018 and EOTechs are working flawlessly. I really like them and use myself two XPS2-0, because I like a single red-dot. Its swift, reliable, and it allows me to reach my maximal results. As far as I have AR-15 in hand, equipped with EOTech with single dot, I can try my limits and do not have to question if "it is possible or not". 1 MOA dot and there will be things happening "for red-dot really unexpected" (that cant happen with reflex sights with parallax effect. And I WANT miracles to happen. Thats why I choose EOTech.)
